We are looking for a new colleague for the position of Mechanical designer.
We would like a proactive, dynamic, organized and involved person in our team.
Bachelor’s degree as Mechanical designer required, experience as a product developer (at least for 3 years), English – advanced level, technical expertise with mechanics, sensors, automotive knowhow / experience.

Goal of the position:

• Strengthening of the development team position sensors
• Increasing mechanical design capacity at Polycontact Romania
• Increase the magnetic filed simulation capacity at Polycontact Romania

Main Tasks:

• Design / construction of new positions sensors with CATIA
• Acquisition work for new projects as mechanical responsible (spec. , concepts, quotations)
• Complete documentation for existing and new projects (2D, 3D, DFMEA, tolerance analiysis…)
• Magnetic field simulation (FEM) with CST for exisiting and new sensors
• Presentation and discussion of simulation results (internal and with customer)
• Functional verification and testing of the sensors (by simulation and measurement)
• Support for Industrial engineering tasks, e.g. developing mechanical fixtures/devices

Qualifications:

• Completed bachelor or master studies in mechanical engineering
• With relevant professional experience (5 years)

Your tasks include:

• Product development for new seat belt switches, seat sensors, and position sensors for our automotive customers.
• Requirements engineering and coordination of mechanical interfaces with customers.
• Conception and design of new technical solutions during customer RFQ phases.
• Mechanical design of assemblies and individual parts for our new products.
• Detail design and tooling clarification for all parts.
• Specification, development, and commissioning of testing tools and devices.
• Conducting development-accompanying tests in the development laboratory.
• Development in the cross-functional project team and technical coordination with quality, production, injection molding, workshop, and suppliers.

Our requirements for you:

• Experience in CAD design in 3D and 2D (ideally Catia).
• Competence in product development from concept to testing.
• Interest in plastic injection molding and manufacturing processes.
• Flair for innovative and cost-optimized solution approaches.
• Very good English and ideally German skills.

• Mechanical design of assemblies and individual parts for our new products.
• Detail design and tooling clarification for all parts including housings, lightguides, diffusors, visible parts, deco parts, surface treatments and others.
• Specification, development, and commissioning of testing tools and devices.
• Conducting development-accompanying tests in the development laboratory.
• Development in the cross-functional project team and technical coordination with quality, production, injection molding, workshop, and suppliers.
Our requirements for you:
• Strong experience in CAD design 3D/2D (ideally Catia) including freeform surfaces.
• Experience with plastic injection molding and manufacturing processes.
• Competence in product development from concept to testing.

We would like a colleague with proven leadership experience in managing procurement teams across multiple locations in our team.
Bachelor’s degree as Supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field, Fluent in English/ proficiency in German language. Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry

Goal of the position:

• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and guide the team
• Deep understanding of procurement principles, practices, and tools

Main Tasks:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Polycontact’s business goals and objectives
• Oversee all procurement activities for the Chur and Romanian operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Manage and develop supplier relationships to ensure the highest quality and reliability
• Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
• Negotiate contracts and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement
• Coordinate with other departments, such as development, production, quality, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare and manage the procurement budget, reporting regularly on performance against targets
